   Applications & Admissions

    Q1. When does the application period start?
    A. January 12th, 2026

    Q2. What is the nomination/admissions timeline?

    A. Once admissions open, students typically need to receive a nomination issued by their home university. This will start from January 12th 2026 ~ April 30th 2026

    Q3. Who is eligible to apply?

    A. Students who are currently enrolled in an overseas university and have completed at least one semester are eligible. Students on a leave of absence may also apply if they have already completed one semester.

    Q4. What is the application process?

    A. Check eligibility → Home university nomination → Online application (Summer School website) → Payment → Confirmation email → Check visa/K-ETA requirements

    ∗ Please note that it is compulsory for ALL Summer School PARTICIPANTS to STAY IN THE DORMS due to safety issues.


 

    Fees, Payment & Refunds

    Q1. How much is the program fee? (2026)

    A. 

  • 2,408,560 KRW (Group Discount for PNU Exchange Partner Universities and APRU member universities)
  • 2,559,095 KRW (Discount for PNU Exchange Partner Universities and APRU member universities)
  • 2,709,630 KRW (Early Bird Discount) 
  • 3,010,700 KRW (General Admission) 

    Q2. What is included in the fee?

    A. ↓

  • Korean Language Courses
  • Course materials and textbooks
  • On-campus dormitory acommodation
  • Three meals per weekday (Mon-Fri)
  • Cultural and Industrial Experience Programs
  • Field Trips in Busan and to nearby cities

    Q3. What are the payment methods and payment deadline?

    A. All payments will be made through FLYWIRE.

        The dates will be May 11th 2026 ~ May 20th 2026. 

    Q4. Who pays the bank transfer fee?

    A. Participants are responsible for all bank transfer/remittance fees.

    Q5. When is the payment deadline? 

    A. For 2026, the payment deadline is May 20th 2026. 

    Q6. What is the refund/cancellation policy? (2026)

    A. TBC (to be confirmed).


     Classes, Credits & Grading

    Q1. What courses are offered?

    A. Only Korean language classes and culture-related classes are offered.

    Q2. How many credits / class hours are offered?

    A. 3 credits / 112 total hours

     Q3. What are the attendance and grading rules?

    A. Rules for unexcused absences: TBC (to be confirmed).


 

    Dormitory & Meals

    Q1. What are the dorm room types, provided items, and facilities?

    A. The dormitory provides a standard set of bedding items: one bed sheet, one mattress pad/underlay,one pillow, and one blanket (comforter).

    Q2. What is the check-in/check-out schedule?

    A. Students can check-in on the first day of the program, and check-out on the last day of the program. 

    Q3. What meals are provided? (Weekdays/weekends, dietary options: allergies/vegetarian/halal)

    A. No special dietary options are provided. However, students with dietary needs will be able to use the Halal Kitchen in the dorms for a fee. 

    Q4. Can I request a roommate? (including gender policy)

    A. Generally, you will be assigned to same gendered.
        You can request for a single room beforehand.
        You can also request to be assigned with your preferred roommate. 


    Visa / K-ETA / Arrival

    Q1. Do I need a visa or K-ETA?

    A. Students are responsible for checking requirements and applying for a visa/K-ETA themselves.

    Q2. Is there guidance for traveling from the airport to Busan?

    A. Currently, there is no separate official guidance provided. 
        However, we advise most Buddy students to pick you up from the airport. 

    Q3. Is orientation mandatory? What should I prepare?

    A. Orientation is mandatory, and there are no special items to prepare.


 

    Student Life, Safety & Packing

    Q1. What cultural activities/field trips are included? Are there extra costs?

    A. Meal coverage depends on the schedule:

        On days with Korean classes, lunch is not included as it will be served in the dorms.

        On full-day activity/field trip days, both lunch and dinner are included.

    Q2. Is insurance/medical support provided?

    A. All Summer School participants are required to enroll in travel insurance that will be provided by our team. 

    Q3. Do you have packing tips?

    A. Please refer to our Instagram for packing guidance. (instagram.com/pnu_summerschool)

    Q4. How much should I budget for SIM/Wi-Fi, transportation (T-money), and daily expenses?

    A. It depends on personal spending, but we recommend purchasing a T-money transportation card.
        There is also free Wi-Fi in all PNU buildings on campus. 

    Q5. Who should I contact in an emergency?

    A. In an emergency, please contact Summer School staff immediately.
